We’ve also dumped the blog, well actually rather cleverly exported it into our website and called it Gallery Ten Edinburgh News.

The speKtrum Collective show is now up and running in the new Gallery TEN on Stafford Street in Edinburgh. The official opening is on the 1st of December.

The collective is about to have its second show in the all new Gallery Ten over at 10 Stafford Street, in the West End of Edinburgh. More details to follow as soon as things start to move in the next few weeks.

FIRST PRESS is the inaugural exhibition of the speKtrum print collective.

Exhibiting print works from collective members, with works by Gill Tyson, David Faithfull, Kelly Stewart, Norman McBeath and others, this will be a new showcase for innovative printmakers.

The exhibition will be held at the Whitespace Gallery in Gayfield Square, Edinburgh.

Could this be the next speKtrum show?

Through a contact with Patrizio Belcampo an opportunity has arisen that may turn into something. A musical and artistic collaboration?

The project will create an opportunity to appreciate a combined musical and artistic experience. A collaboration between the Leader ensemble and speKtrum print collective, the aim is to present a musical performance alongside a contemporary print exhibition.

The concert presentation will be the Beethoven violin concerto and Bach’s orchestral suite in D major. These two musical elements total eight movements, the print exhibition will comprise a showing of sixteen print editions by sixteen artists, two for each of the musical movements. A recording of the two pieces and the print editions will be available for purchase throughout the exhibition.
